Kings of Swing

The Scottish Swing Orchestra salutes Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller. With Special Guests: The Flyright Dancers and singer Lorna Reid.

Dave Batchelor’s hugely popular “Story Of Swing” has combined great live music, visuals, and dancing, with a narrative that pieces together the history of the music. His new show focuses on the celebrated “Kings Of Swing”, Goodman and Miller, with the same brilliant ingredients – and a story line that doesn’t forget Louis Armstrong and Count Basie.

Sultry, sophisticated singer Lorna Reid recreates the sounds of the great Big Band Vocalists.

The show includes hit tunes like “Stompin' At The Savoy”; “Sing, Sing, Sing”; “Little Brown Jug” and “In The Mood” played by Scotland’s leading swing big band; with the doyens of Charleston, Lindy Hop, Jitterbug and Ragtime Dance, The Flyright Dancers, on hand, to illustrate the dance moves. It’s a tale of musical legends, fun, and good times. A great night out!

Concert ends at 10pm
